As you have said you have attached your device to your computer but it won't connect, I'm assuming that you have installed the driver already of KX-FLB802, so try checking in CONTROL PANEL then open PRINTERS and FAXES you will see your device (KX-FLB802), right click on it then click on Properties, a window/menu will open then click on PORTS tab---try to see if port setting is set to USB if not change it. (in the PORTS tab usually you will see LPT1, LPT2, USB and etc.)

If this is the first time you have attached your device to your computer you need to install the driver of KX-FLB802 in order for it to work. The installation process is just simple or maybe you can find instructions from the manual.

Are all of the latest drivers loaded on the computer for this printer from the hp.com site?
