Drill bit stuck in ryobi impact drill

Put the bit in a vise and try to turn the drill to release the bit. You will need to put a wrench on the area of the drill that's holding the bit and do the turning by the wrench.

How do I change the drill bits and then tighten so the bits stay in the drill?

The chuck will not turn. So to loosen just turn the black plastic counter clockwise. The chuck will loosen. Or you can hold the black part on the chuck tight and put the drill in reverse and slowly squeeze the trigger and the chuck will loosen also. Do the opposite to put a new bit in. Put the drill in forward and hold the black part of the chuck and squeeze the trigger with the bit in place and it will tighten down on the bit.

How do I change a bit

This drill uses a keyless chuck. which means you have to hold onto the barrel by the end of the drill chuck. Then you need to put the drill in reverse to open the chuck to put a bit in. Insert a bit and then put the drill back into forward and hold chuck to tighten.

Most cordless drills use keyless chucks these days. Shift the drill into reverse and hold the main body of the chuck. Pull the trigger and the bit should come out. Put it into forward and run it to tighten onto a new bit.

The drill bit came out of my xrp 12v dewalt drill. How do I get it back in? Is it locked?

I hope I am understanding your question properly, if not, leave a comment. This drill *** a "keyless" chuck. If you look down into where the drill bit goes, there are metal pieces inside the black nose of the tool. Those metal parts are what holds the bit into place. The drill bit slides into the hole at the front of the drill (where it fell out from), Put the drill bit back in and then grasp the black tip (right below where you put the drill bit in). Directly underneath where you put your first hand, hold onto the piece directly below the upper part. Turn the top piece right and left and it tightens or loosens the mechanism that holds the bit in place. Give it a firm turn to make sure it is tight.

Hitachi Quick Release Drill problem

put a box end wrench 7/16 or a 3/8 over the bit. put the bit in a vise. Lightly tap the wrench with a hammer while holding the relase sleeve back. usually need 2 people. 1 to hold the drill and the sleeve and 1 to hold the wrench and hammer. try a little tranny fluid or wd40 in the chuck. don't use the painted bits. use onle the chrome ones
