I own a Fuji Finepix A345 and lately, every time I go to take a picture it turns off when I hit the button...any thoughts?
Eh, the shutter button being too close to the off button is possible, but no, it's more than that. The A345 has severe battery issues. My A345 is 3 years old and it's dead. It started acting that way a few weeks after I bought it and it gradually got worse and worse. Now the stupid thing won't turn on at all. It's dead. What a serious rip off.
I had the same problem when I replaced the batteries. I used cheap batteries and then tried Duracell and it worked again. Try that.
All figured out,,,,the shutter button is too close to the shut off button, its happened to me many times ,next time it happns try to catch yourself and see which button you pressed,,guaranteed!!! it sucks

I have the exact same problem! I have checked the batteries and replaced them 3 times, I have cleared the picture memory, taken out and replaced the card, I've tried everything! All of the other functions work properly, I can change the setting and review pictures, but I cannot take pictures or video!
I have the same problem as well. It turns off every time I try to take a picture or video.
My Fujifilm finePixA345 does the same thing and most of the time the lens won't open at all. My camera was just two years old in Sept-- not a happy camper. Just took it in to Best Buy and he said to just buy a new one-- That is not a good solution to me!!
