Language problem I bought a samsung SGH U600, but its soft only has english and chinese. Can I change to spanish? I can not use T9 predictive text for sms. Thanks

The display language is preset to English. To change the language, from the standby screen, press Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > Language. Choose from English, Espa?ol (Spanish), or Chinese for both the screen text and input language. Note: If you accidentally change your language to Espa?ol and need to reset it to English, from the standby screen, press Menu 9 5 2, select English, and press the OK key.

Hold down the star key until 'T9' in the top right hand corner disappears.

● Phone language — Change the language of the
display text in your device. This also affects the

the display text language, the device restarts.
● Writing language — Change the writing
language. This affects the characters available
when writing text and the predictive text
dictionary used.
● Predictive text — Set predictive text input on
or off for all editors in the device. The predictive
text dictionary is not available for all languages.

Try holding down the # key and a menu should pop up with the various typing styles. I changed mine to T9 abc and it works fine now

To get predictive text on or off on the LG Shine go to:

>Messaging
>New Message
>Text
>Options
>T9 languages
>T9 on/off

The option for predictive text is called "t9". You can see it when you are typing a sms. If you press "right soft key" it will change the mode from capitals to lower case to predictive text to number to symbol.

Go to messages and click on option, select input method and select T9 Abc or T9 ABC, by then click ok, hope this helps

just go into your msg settings then change the predictive text to english standard.

it is the same key as to change case. If you press it repeatedly, it'll cycle through various options in the top right of the screen:
initial caps with predictive,
all caps predictive,
lower case predictive,
numbers,
initial caps without predictive,
all caps without predictive,
lower case without predictive.

When T9 is not displayed, predictive text is off.

Just to spice things up, Samsung's idiotic software designers made it so that depending on the situation you're inputting text, the order that things cycle through is different, so you can't just press it a certain number of times to turn it off, you have to pay attention to the icon in the top right.
