No picture, no sound, and a chirp

I was wondering where I could find schematics on this TV. I took the back off and there is a red light(dp37) that flashes along with the chirp. I dont know alot about TVs, a diagram would help me alot but I can not find any on-line

Look up Hitachi home page on the net. Go to their support, and enquire where you can purchase the service manual for your set.

I can tell you in advance that you will need the proper test instruments and knowledge and training to troubleshoot the TV set. Failed components are not visible by eye unless there was a big burn-up.

Many of these models are normaly serviced by board exchange.

Samsung HCM 4215W when on, no picture timer blinks & chirp sounds

Sounds like a shorted component in the power supply or the high voltage circuit.
Time to call a professional.

Toshiba 36HF71 has sound but no picture

Same problem with mine. Relays click, sound, no picture and a flashing power LED. I finally found a schematic online. I went through the high voltage circuits and found the power transistor 2SC5570 was shorted out. There is also a pico fuse in that area but my was not open. I replaced the transistor and prayed the flyback transformer was not shorted. It wasn't, I'm watching my old 36" right now. Not a bad fix (17.00) bucks. Wonder what a service tech would have charged ;)

Philips 55PP9352 Rear Projection, no picture or sound, chirping.

This is a common problem with this model. The convergence circuits have shorted out causing the HVG to chirp.

Goto the site www.TvRepairKits.com and get their "chirping" tv repair kit. It will fix the no audio+no video + chirping problem.

Wont power on

Good day, papamotts;

Hitachi has LED’s, green ‘lights’ and a red light to determine what circuit may be the problem; after removing the back of TV, bottom only, plug TV back in and observe which LED’s come on …..BUT most important which LED’s don’t come on; locate and note number, EG; DP37 and etc.

Good luck, big IRISH. Ps let me know.

TV making chirping sound

If one of the secondary supplies is shorted, the power supply will "chirp" when plugged in. This is the power supply's way of protecting itself and this usually happens when the horizontal output transistor is shorted. If this set was in my shop and needed a new output transistor, a fair price would be right around $100.

No Pic or Sound

It sounds like a defect in the horizontal drive or HI voltage circuit. Could be the Horizontal output transistor , and /or the flyback transformer, a short in the scan derived power supply on the output of the flyback transformer. If your not aware of the HI VOLTAGE issues and have soldering experience you should seek a pro to assist ya in this repair. If you do have the experience, get a schematic and start with the hi voltage circuit. Good Luck
