Go into your device manager and disable the device, and then reboot. That may give the device a chance to reset itself through windows

Bad motherboard. Black Christmas is around the corner. New laptops are running 200-300. Time to save up for one...sorry :(

Your trying to downgrade this means you have to use vista cd to format the hard driver, and after the laptop restart, load the Xp. Also sometimes this code comes if you donot use the original xp windows.

it may come from viruses that attacked your comptr..in start up, pressing F8 to run safe mode n try to scan your compter using good anti virus software

try safe mode. If it works, use system restore to go back to a previous working configuration. If safe mode does not work, try the last known-good configuration. Restart the computer, then as soon as the Dell logo shows up on the screen, press the F8 key repeatedly until you enter the Advanced Options Menu. Use the arrow keys to select Last Known-Good Configuration, then press Enter.

there is a problem with your memory. TURN OFF THE LAPTOP turn the laptop screen side down there are two areas you can open. open the one more to the centre remove one or all memory module inside replace with new memory module. or if there are two memory modules in take one out then turn the laptop on if it does not start take the other out, put in the one you took out first back in start the laptop if none works by themselves you need new memory
