Well this product DGN1000 is a generic router supplied by Netgear and can be used with any ADSL/DSL ISP. Please ensure that you upload the latest firmware for this router from the netgear support site and then you can use it with other ADSL/DSL ISP.
Hope this allows you to resolve the issue. If you need further assistance then let me know.

Anand

Sure it can, just make sure you have the latest firmware for your model. This way you can use it with any other ADSL/DSL ISP. If you have any other problems with this router, just use this great manual. It really helped me a lot resolving issues with my router, hope it does to you, too. Good luck! :)

In my lap with windows 8 version netconnection i s not available, but with same wifi modem..NETGEAR N150 WIRELESS D S L Modem Router mobile is net.connected.

Netgear are products that are last to just about 90 days. I am a computer tech and do a lot of house and business calls to TS networks. Most problems come from Netgear, once they switch to another brand, the problem disappear. Even I had a wireless Netgear router, and had to return it because the life span was about 4 month and the complimentary support is only 90 days.
Just by rebooting the modem (turning it off and on) usually fix it for about 8 hours, then the cycle start again. After rebooting the modem/router, delete your saved network from Windows 8 and start fresh. That should work.

If you change formats to Ethernet on the Netgear, simply run the CAT5/6 wire from the Cat output on the modem to the Ethernet port on the computer. A direct connection should always be AUTOMATIC as long as the operating system DRIVERS are up-to-date.

ADSL support for ADSL router

No, you can't connect your router directly to your ADSL. Maybe you should try a wired router.
