We have a Lanier SP C210SF, and put in a new fuser, and the machine still says replace fuser. Please help, busy tax office......and we are dying here.

SC542: Fusing temperature warm-up error
-Definition- [A]
The fusing temperature does not reach the fusing standby temperature
within 50 seconds after the main switch is turned on.
- Possible causes -
· Fusing thermistor defective or out of position
· Fusing lamp open
· Fusing thermofuse open
· Power supply board defective
· Poor connection of the fusing unit
As the nature of the error is hardware, possible reasons include power supply defective, I would call in a tech to check this.
A simple reset wouldnt fix the problem, you can try to power the unit off and on, also removeing the unit from the wall socket.
