you would need to check the driver/piston for problems and make sure that you are using the right guage nails. Let me know what you find and I will try and help further.
first make sure that you are using the right guage nails and if so I would return it to the place of purchase for replacement., the blowing of air could indicate a jammed nail in the track, look for that first and make sure the driver is retracting fully.
18 guage nailer has a very thin driver and plastic cylinder which bends or breaks easily. Remove the head noting all the parts in the head and remove the piston which should be at the top of the cylinder. Check for broken or bent shaft. Most likely broken and jammed in cylinder.
