Hey Hi thanks for replying me so promptly but the problem is not solved somehow . I did the steps suggested by i uninstalled my DVD/CD ROM named HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-T10N Then i again restarted the windows and then it detected correctly that new hardware found but that blank dvd is still showing 0 bytes dont know whats the problem is...
If you can suggest me some more tips or tricks kindly let me know as it is very urgent m not able to write anything on my dvd

Hi there your system does not find any DVD detector software. So you have to install it 1st. Then you can play & record DVD. I suggest you install NERO CD/DVD writer software & after that when you put DVD in your rom its will detect & start work.
