Question about Canon EOS Rebel G 35mm SLR Camera
I have had my Rebel G for almost 10 yrs now and it has what looks like lint on the mirror. I have tried blowing on it and cleaning it with a lens cloth and nothing is working...help!
The lint you are seeing is probably up inside the viewfinder on top of the focusing screen. It may be obnoxious, but it won't affect the pictures.
The only way to clean it out is to drop the focusing screen down and remove it and clean out the dust and lint.
It is a fairly delicate job, but if you are careful and have a pair of nice tweezers to drop the screen down with, you might be able to do it. Otherwise, it shouldn't cost too much to have your local camera repair shop do it for you.
