Both ink and paper lights blinking at the same time indicates a fatal error. I'm still looking for a manual to see if I can fix it. you can buy a new one of these printers for $45 so it is not worth taking to a repair shop.
Same problem here, using an epson R230..both lights flashing red simultaneously. Fatal error on SSC utility program. I have checked everything, even cleaned the alignment strip (the gray plastic strip) and checked if there are any paper or things that might cause the issue, even checked for parts causing it, still no go. the print head always stops near the parking area of the ink cartridge just after the initialization of the printer (after it the ink head cartridge carrier traveled from one end to the the other twice the first time out, then as the printer carriage is about to go to park, it flashes the red lights, it had been printing fine but then it suddenly would not print anything, just blank page then this happened. Can anyone please help me, I am using my printer for my small business. Thanks in advance and God Bless to all...
