Would someone please tell me if I have a battery problem or a fried suffocated Acer problem? My Acer 4520 was setup on a mattress bed then placed into hibernate mode after an hour. 20 minutes later I heard a strange PC tone. I was unable to turn the PC back on. I thought maybe the battery just got run down. I plugged in the Charger and got a yellow charging battery light. I hit the power button then all lights flashed and then turned off. After several tries I removed the battery and plugged in the charger again. The same result happens with all lights flash then turning off each time with no response from the PC. TIA, Ted

I don't think that it's hard disk problem either.
Check if you can at least access to Bios (turn the computer on & by pressing the F2 key when the system starts). If yes, it's not cpu or motherboard problem either.

Obviously it's not a battery problem. When you power on Acer, there's some running noise or not ? If there's such noise & just LCD has no sign of life, and you can't even access to Bios, it's just LCD cable connection problem. Often, LCD cable is disconnected from motherboard. It can ba happened very easily on shaking your laptop. It's possible that your hard disk is sick, then your Bios can't ditect its presence;
