Hi my xbox will play dvds but not video games. The other part is when i start it up the menu is blurry and if i play a game it is still blurry. But if i put in a dvd the menu is still blurry but when i click play dvd the picture becomes perfect again

Happens to my old Xbox 360. Unplug the power cord from the wall and leave it overnight, then plug back in in the morning and see if it works. (If it doesn’t unplug again this time only for 5 minutes )
Sounds like the Xbox 360's disk drive is starting to fail. Knocking on the top of the Xbox (when its on its side) while loading a game can sometimes get it to work, but its better to have your Xbox repaired or replace.
insert the disc into the disc tray should load right up and you should be able to start playing it if not check your console settings it might be set up to where you can only play xbox 360 games and dvds.
Hi you have to buy a HD DVD player add on for your 360 to play HD DVDs if you go to game or gamestation you will get one there very cheap as HD DVDs are no longer released
You are trying to play dvd's? Then you will need the remote sensor plugged in to the box before it plays movies. IT's called a xbox dvd movie playback kit. Part # x08-25387
