SOURCE: very poor cleaning all of a sudden

suspect blockage in the actual spray arms - take them out and clean under the tap. a check is to open the door when in operation and see if the spray arms are rotating. they are made to rotate only by the force of water thro angled jets at the end of the arms

I have a EIDW6105 Electrolux dishwasher and it will not fill with water. Can hear a humming but no water entering the tub. Water is set on 120 degrees and and no lines are cramped.

open the door, look on the front of tub i believe your float switch is on the left side, make sure nothing is under it holding the float up,this will stop the water from entering,if that's ok you could have frozen pipes or valve,i've seen a ton of them in my area,or a bad house water shut off or a bad water valve on dish washer part 154513601,remove the bottom panel you'll see the valve on left side, you can crack the fill line with a wrench and see if any water comes out,if the valve is humming most of the time this is from no water getting to the valve,if it's frigid temps. where you live most likely the pipe or the valve is frozen, you can get a hair dryer and heat the valve up to see if that helps but make sure your shutoff works under the sink, also at night leave the doors under the sink open and remove the bottom panel to the dish washer all winter so warm air can get under and around the valve and pipes,if it isn't froze shut off the water at shutoff under the sink, remove the water fill line from the valve syci the line in a bucket or glass and open the shutoff,if water comes out the valve is bad hope this helps.

THE WATER WILL NOT FILL UP AND THE CYCLE STARTS BUT CUTS OFF AFTER 10 MINUTES

If no water is entering the washer, first check to make sure the water supply is actually turned on! I've had to service customers who had the cleaning people or other maintenance folks turn off the water. Next, check the float switch inside the tub. This tells the computer that there is no water in the tub and when the tub has enough water--If something gets trapped underneath, such as a fork, spoon, knife, or anything, it will lift the float and the washer will think water is already inside and not fill. It is a round, "flying saucer" shaped object located at the bottom of the tub, on either the left or right side. Gently lift up on it and CAREFULLY listen for a soft "clicking sound". The click is from a tiny switch on the underside of the washer. If the float is clear of objects, next check underneath the washer at the inlet water valve. This is an electric valve identified by the water line attached directly to it. There will be an electrical connector plugged in to it, and when activated, will have 120v applied. Remove the kick panel(cover at the bottom of washer under door) and carefully remove the connector from the valve. Set a wash cycle, then, using a voltage meter, check to see if 120v is present at the valve. If 120v is present, and you're sure the water is turned on, the valve is most likely defective. If there is *no* voltage at the valve, then the problem is most likely a broken wire or the main control board has a bad relay switch which is failing to send the power to the valve at the proper time.

Dishwasher leaking

When does it start to leak? I mean how much water goes in before the leak starts. I have a problem every once in awhile with mine leaking when the float in the bottom of the washer gets stuck and does not shut off the water. The way to check this is to locate the float, it is near the front left side, and push it up and down a few times to make sure it is not stuck. Try the washer again. If that is not the problem u could have a leak from the drain under the dishwasher. Sometimes the plastic can crack and cause a leak. Also check the discharge line and make sure it is not the problem.

Dish washer doesn't fill up with water

Hello,

Their are a few things that will prevent it from filling
  1. The float in the tub has something caught under it..pull out lower rack and check
  2. The float switch is bad...pull off kick plate below door and use a meter set to a low ohms setting and when checking switch if good will be zero ohms. OL if bad
  3. the control is bad and not sending power to float switch..use meter set to volts ac check for 120 volts ac to switch. to do that place one meter lead on a wire on float switch and on the a metal peice (leg, frame ect) and check for 120 vac, if 120 vac at switch the control is good if not replace control, this check must be done when d/w is supposed to fill( usually at the begining of a cycle)
  4. water valve.. use meter set check vac and check for 120 vac to plug(one meter lead on each wire) when supposed to fill, if 120 vac, needs inlet water valve
  5. water from house plumbing is restricted...loosen supply line nut and check for incoming water
Good luck,i hope this helps

Water doesn't work

First determine that you do not have a kink in your supply line. Next be sure that the float switch is not stuck in the "up" position. The float switch is in the bottom front left or right of your unit and looks like a small upside down bowl. You should be able to lift the float easily and hear a faint yet audible click as the float makes the over fill switch operate.
If all these check out, it is safe to say that you most likely need to replace the inlet/fill valve. If you have a volt meter you can check for 110v ac supply to it when it should be filling.
Good luck!

Washing machine will not fill with water just aggitates

Check the float bulb in the bottom of the tub and the switch below the tub. It may be stuck in the up position telling the computor that the water has filled. The timer is not supposed to advance to another process engagement until the water floats the bulb and changes the bottom switch position.

Code i30 has been activated - can i solve it my self?

on several of models the water reservoir , the plastic house on the left side must be cleaned, and the big hose in the bottom from reservoir to the center is filled with fat so the water fills to slowly and it runs over in the reservoir overflow hole and down in the bottom. this , little by little fills up the aqua stop sensor system. This causes water in the bottom of your machine and water block system to trig..No not on hose but a float in the base of machine. Tilt washer on side to drain water out of base allow to dry and should cure the fault 30 prob.

remember to disconnect from the mains electricity before doing this..also clean out any hoses connected to this...as the fats accumulate it clogs the lines and water slowly starts to fill in the bottom which activates the float and thereby triggering the fault .30code..this should save you a call out charge
.Hope this helps...please rate me...the Fang

Dish washer not filling with water when put on

There are a few things that can cause this problem, it could be a defective water inlet valve, it's usually located behind the lower kick plate on the left or right hand side of the dishwasher, When the washing cycle is started it sends voltage to the water inlet valve to open which allows water to enter the machine, or it could be a faulty float switch, when water enters the machine the float switch raises up which signals the water inlet valve to shut off, the float switch is located inside the dishwasher at the bottom, you can check the float switch by raising it up and down to see if it's stuck in the up position. Good luck.

Maytag dishwasher

Hello,
Theres a Floater inside the tub protecting against overflow. when it is pushed up or stuck by debris, and does not fall down to its inactive position, it can prevent water from filling. So be sure there is no debris and move the floater up and down until it falls down in its normal position.

Also dishwashers can lose their pump prime and will not fill with water if there is no priming water in the bottom of the unit. To solve this problem, you must add several quarts of water to the unit. Let it settle down in the bottom until it stops going down. Start the washer and you will hear this water pump out of the drain and the unit will now fill with fresh water..

Thank you..Regards!!..
