RAZR v3m is not compatible with T-Mobile, as it is a CDMA phone, used on services such as Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, etc. The v3m is not a GSM phone and does not have a SIM card, and therefore cannot be used on GSM services such as T-Mobile and AT&T (Cingular).
T-Mobile does have a RAZR v3, but it is not a v3m. The v3m is similar to the v3s, which is also a CDMA phone, but adds a micro SD card to store music and photos on.
sharp, you have to format the SD through your phone and then copy the music to the folder provided by the phone for the music. make sure you check the playing / bitrate / file type of audio file that the phone is limited to play.
It took me a year of trying, but I finally got my Razrs to talk to the pc. I googled "Unlocking a Razr" and got a lot of good ideas. The best combo seemed to be downloading some older USB drivers from a post I saw in the Hack the Razr site, and then running the PST program in the background while running P2k. Once I got Pst to connect to the phone, P2k handled saving my mp3's to the phone. I also saved mp3's to the card using a card reader and putting them in the audio folder on the phone.
The biggest hurdle is getting the right drivers so the phone will talk with the pc. Not impossible, but it takes some diligence. Like I said, I spent a few months last summer hacking my phone and going nowhere... then this summer I tried it again, and got it to work. My next conquest is ringtones. Not having a lot of luck there.
I know I've rambled. Hope you find what you need. I got it all by google-ing.
When you put the pictures onto the card form your pc you have to put them into the folders created by your cellphone for example pictures to pix or pictures and music to my music on the card. How is your music formatted the razr will only read mp3 songs?
The V3m has an inherent flaw with the Sd Micro Memory Card. Installing the card, which fits extremely tight can damage the electrical contacts in the micro chip socket. This can result in low battery life due to a short to metal chassis of phone and not being able to communicate properly with memory chip. I had my first Razr V3m replaced by Sprint after only 2 days of ownership. When I got my new phone I carefully filed the tab on the Sd Micro Chip so insertion and extraction is much easier.

To access your card you have to change the Storage Device.
For example if you want to access your RINGTONES or SOUNDS, do as follows:
1. Go to MY STUFF menu by pressing the CIRCLED button betten the GREEN (SEND CALL) and the RED (ON/OFF) buttons.
2. Select for example SOUNDS.
3. Hit the middle multiple bar between the BACK and GO TO options on screen (SOUNDS MENU).
4. Select SWITCH STORAGE DEVICE and select the CARD option.
You're now accessing and STORING data on your MEMORY CARD.
