How do I connect the DVD player to a Panasonic High Def Plasma TV?

Choose connections on the Panasonic that match those on the player--

Do you have on the player Component outs(blue, green, red and 2 audio which are red and white? This ought to give you the best picture and sound.

Other inputs to the set must match the ones coming from the player--Most owner manuals have a lot of details here.

If the player has 1080 output hook to a similar input on the set.

Some advice here: make the connections between units with both turned off.

I don't know which cables to use to hook up my sony plasma to a samsung dvd player, or how to hook it up.

Hi there. To enable your Samsung DVD player to work on your Sony Plasma, you will need two things:

1. The Power cable for the DVD player
2. The Audio(Red and White) and Video(Yellow) cables that should have been provided when the DVD player was bought. If ever these cables are not available, you may buy these at any Hyper Market such as Wal-Mart or a technology store such as Best Buy. These are called Composite Video and Audio Cables.

If you have the previous cables, connect the 3 Audio/Video cables to the back of the Plasma TV, it should contain the appropriate ports. Yellow cable(Video) for the Yellow port. White and Red for the Audio Left(L) and Right(R) ports. Then connect your power, turn the DVD on and switch from TV to other input which should display the Samsung Logo.

Please rate and comment, thank you.

When i hook up dvd player to a insignia plasma tv i get a picture & sound but it is in black&white.how do i get to be color

if you connect composit video from your DVD player to the "Y" jack of the tv then you will get only a black and white picture .. the composit video out of your DVD has to be connected to the composit video input of the TV .. or if you have component outputs on your DVD then you can hook those up to the "three" component inputs of the tv .. (you have to have all three hooked up plus 2 audio cables ..
