HP OfficeJet 6210 All-In-One InkJet Printer Logo

No printing...? Okay, basically this printer is only a few months old. It copies just fine, so it prints, but when you try to print from the computer, nothing happens. I've checked the connection cable, and all of them are plugged in all of the way. The printer icon comes up in the corner taskbar, with no question mark, so the computer must detect the printer. The only thing odd that happens is that when you command a print, the printer makes a really soft click-click-click noise for a second or two, like it's trying to print, and then it stops. Does anyone know what the problem is and how to fix it?

When I try to print, it hangs up at the stage "Opening printer connection." Then nothing happens. This takes place even if I connect the Mac directly to the printer with a USB.

Make sure after you click 'print' that the printer you are printing from is not the 'fax'. I had this happen too... just a suggestion ;)

Catridge block

The issue you have described regarding your printer is mainly due some dirt on the printer drum, As most of the issues like this get solved when you clean the Drum, However before you start troubleshooting your printer you should try few steps to check where actually the issue lies is it the Drum or the cartridge or is it with the driver software or even with the document file software program that you are trying to print form, so try these steps below to know where the issue lies here is what you need to do,

Try to scan and print a document, by using the copy option on the printer control panel directly (Check if the print is good, if so then the issue is with either the printer driver or the document software you are trying to print).

If you find that the print output is the same which means the printer again printed a complete black page try to clean the Drum of the printer with a soft dry cloth. Please make sure that you completely disconnect the printer power cord and leave the printer powered off for sometime before you remove the printer cartridge
and clean the Drum.

Alternately you can also try the old cartridge if you still have it with you just to check if the print out is fine with it, with this we can isolate the issue as we will come to know that the Toner cartridge is gone bad and you can then replace it.

However if you find the copy was fine then you can try printing a test page and check if its good. (If you find that if the test page prints okay, then try printing any other document form a different program however if you find that the test page looks like the same I mean if it is completely black then you can try to uninstall the driver and reinstall it again).

Here is how you can uninstall the driver and reinstall it.

  1. Click on start, point to control panel and click on control panel.

  2. Click on Add/Remove icon and select the printer driver and click o remove.

  3. After the un-installation wizard is complete close all the windows and disconnect the printer form the computer.

  4. Insert the driver disk in the Disk drive and install the driver.

Note: Do not connect the printer to the computer until the installation wizard asks you to do so.

If the document prints fine, you will then have to check the setting of the software programe that you were trying to print form earlier or even you can try to uninstall and reinstall the program to fix the issue.

Print function is not working properly. I have a Ricoh Afcicio 1013F. It prints a few pages then has an error msg.

Does the machine copy okay? If you copy several pages, do they all come out normally, or do you get an error message like when you print?

What is the error message that shows up? If the machine prints a few pages before the error comes up, and it works fine when you are copying, the problem is likely either with your network or with the application you are trying to print from. Depending on what the error message says, it will help to isolate the problem.

It could also be the print driver itself. You can go to Ricoh-USA.com to the Downloads section and either update or reinstall the print driver if nothing else works.

You did not say whether this printer is the same as your others, if it is not then you will have to get the correct software driver for this particular printer.

I can not print

Cannot print? What you mean? Cannot print from computer? Or basically the printer will not print.
If this is only a printer there is a self test so you can print without using the computer in that way you will know if it still works, if it prints good its on the settings on your computer.

If this is an all-in-one printer why not copy something. You will know if the printer is working fine.
