How do I check a wireless garage door keypad, to see if it is transmitting?

These remotes don't loose the programming code when a battery goes dead, most likely the remote or the board on the opener went bad, do any other remotes work? You can take the remote to an auto parts store and test it there. (They have a tester for key fobs)

test use the digital camera or cell when you hit any key the LED must be ON see the picture attached.. Otherwise open the r.control and clean the keypads for dirty, oxide, etc use contacts cleaner.

You don't need the current code. What you need to do is press and immediately release the smart button and then walk over to your keypad and enter any 4 digit code you like. If this doesn't work your keypad is bad.
