It sounds like the electrics on the back of the cartridge have failed, replace with a new cartridge, and away you go.

first of all you should install canon ip 1800 software then you should attach canon ip 1800
If you do not have its software then you have to go www.canon.com select your region choose your product and click on downloads to download its driver and install and attach device.
