Problem getting computer to read installation disc after uninstalling same programme
After initially installing samsung cd disc everything worked ok but had conflict with my fugi camera program where I could not download pics off camera - I uninstalled samsung YP-K3 programme which allowed camera to download pics as normal prior to samsung installation - tried to install samsung installation disc again but computer will not read it at all - also tried to install thru control panel but won't read cd either (I am not very computer savy)

ok no problem, normally using a disk defragmentor will not harm programs or how your computer runs at all, only speeds it up by getting everything to work in sync which is good.
ok....if you are using vista, go to control panel, then programs and features, find Microsoft office 2004 or 2007 and click on it to highlight, now right click on it again, you will see some options come up, select repair and follow onscreen instructions
....if that doesn't work select uninstall by right clicking on it again and follow instructions, this will remove microsoft office from your computer ok, then use your install cd/dvd to re install microsoft office suite.
........also i think it is possible to use your install disc/s to repair or reinstall.
cd/dvd drives are cheep, I would suggest in device manager uninstall device driver and re-install them with scan for new hardware. If thats not working goto ebay and get a cd/rw dvd reader try to pay a max of $20.00 you should find many in that price range.. and when re-installing make sure the jumper is set to the same as the one you currently have..
I have the same Samsung Multi DVD Recorder as it calls itself and it works OK with XP for me. You probably need to install the Nero software that came with it as it normally contain the hardware drivers that are needed. Sorry if I'm too late with this reply but I only just came across your post.
could be a couple of things gone wrong, first go into your device manager and look and see if the drivers are there for the camera if not you will have to put the drivers back in.did you get a disc with your camera? if you did then install drivers from that.or go to control panel and look for install new soft wear and see if the camera is there.or go to were you uninstall programmes and see if the camera is there if it is uninstall it then reinstall using the disc if it come with one.
if you want you can restore your computer setting to when it all last worked.
These are two different problems...
1. most likely you have loaded too many programmes in the startup...uninstall the unwanted programmes...and clean the registry by registry cleaner.... clean your c drive or the drive in which OS is loaded by system tool...disc cleanup (in accessories)
2. increase your RAM if you still want to use all the programmes you have loaded.
3. Use a cd rom cleaner disc to see it the rom stars reading...or else you will have to replace the CD Rom
IF you are burn youor CD make sure is read and writeable drive if not get a dvd burner or cd burner a dvd is for dvd CD rewriteable a cd is just regular CD blank CD for both make sure format when your computer has detect 14x or 16x 700GB storage...
