I keep getting a message that this phone is "unsupported" when I try to connect via the USB cable. I have re-installed Motorola Phone Tools 5.0 and downloaded drivers from the Motorola site, to no avail. When I first bought the phone I was successful in connecting my mobile to my PC, but after a computer format, I am now having no luck.

I had the same problem. It turns out you need to connect to a USB 2.o port. One on my Dell was 2.0 and the other was not. Always use the same USB every time.

You have to have the software and driver for your fone to work in your computer.. go on line and look for for the brand you have and download the soft and driver...
