Question about Emerson DV-X1411TN Car DVD Player

I tried to install my emerson dvd player and the play stop fr button light all stay on and picture and sound dont go on I connected another dvd player and the video does show on screen

It is now confirmed that your emerson is faulty. Please remove the connection open the set if there is no breach of warrranty- if new- and look inside. try and tighten all the connector points, the joints, the flat cords. check the leadds to the front panel and check for any breaks. Assuming this was working earlier and has failed now, then you will need to check on the display/ processor for failure. If aftera ll this check the light are staying on then you have a possible failure of the micro processor. confirm with a signal check, frequency oscillation and if not present replace. Helpful?   • Make sure there is no disc in the player.
  • Turn on the player (you can use remote control or front panel, it doesn't matter)
  • Wait for "No Disc" message to appear on the TV screen.
  • Press the Repeat button on remote (plain, not A-B).
  • Press the correct sequence of buttons of remote according to the original region code of your player (it's on the sticker on the back panel of the player).
  • FF = fast forward, FR = fast rewind.
  • Region 2 players: FF, FR, FF, UP, DOWN
  • Region 3 players: FF, PLAY, FR, UP, LEFT
  • Region 4 players: FR, PLAY, DOWN, DOWN, RIGHT
  • Region 5 players: FF, UP, DOWN, STOP, RIGHT
  • Region 6 players: LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, PLAY, LEFT
  • If you pressed the correct sequence, a small white number 0 will appear somewhere on the top right of the screen.

Sound on my emerson dvd player
The set -up is listed on page (7) of your owners manual. When asking a question like this it is important to say what type of connection you are trying to make. It is also important to say what type of cables you intend on using for the connection. If you do not have a copy of the owners manual, you can find a copy on the provided web link. It will show you with a diagram all of the possible way to connect the dvd player to the television. Clarion vrx 485 vd.tuner works with amp but cant get dvd or cd to play with amp.screen works cd an dvd are playing but no sound.an with key off tuners playing till i open door?what have i hooked up wrong?

whilst u drive connect this to earth

it sounds like you have hooked the power wires up wrong try trace back your wires with this diagram

We have sound but no picture i have sound but no picture. when you change inputs the word input is doubled up and distorted
There were not much info in the manual but it did suggest trying this.
1st- Unplug for a few minutes and then plug it back in. Or use the reset button look it up in the manual. MANUAL

2nd- Blank screen troubleshooting

• If you're trying to watch TV, change channels or press the ANTENNA button to switch tuners.
• If you're trying to watch something that's playing on a component connected to the TV (like a DVD or a VCR tape), press the TV
button on the remote, then press INPUT until you get to the correct video input channel.
• If you're trying to watch a component (like your DVD player or VCR), make sure the component connected to the TV is turned on.
• If you're trying to watch a component (like your DVD player or VCR), make sure the component is connected correctly.

Playing recordable dvd
My Emerson won't play anything except DVD Movies, never has, wasn't suppose too. Make your movies in DVD Video format and it will read them fine (unless it's broke). I make movies all the time and play them back in mine. It reads DVD-R, DVD+R, and in duel layered. It will not read RW disks!

Man I've every problem you can imagine with DVD Players. I've found when the disk gets stuck, as long as it's not jammed. You can turn the unit off or unplug it. Plug it back in but DON'T TURN IT ON! Instead hit the eject button and the drive should open the drive without trying to read the disk.

Emerson TV won't stay on
I am currently have the same problem . I just got off the phone with the support tech and he suggested unplugging TV for about 5 minutes and if that doesnt work to unplug TV for about 2 hours. He said that may reset the TV . I am waiting now. If it works , I will leave feedback.

Magnavox DVD/VCR player stuck in progressive scan mode
Right, mine was stuck for a couple of weeks and i tried lots of different things. What worked for me was plugging it out and in again. Press the power switch and then just before the tv switches from normal mode to dvd recorder press the eject button. However, I pressed it a few time so not exactly sure which one worked.
The burned DVD is now in a thousand pieces at the bottom of my bin!

Sylvaniadvc 865f dvdplayer/vcr cannot get the dvd to play
First try to clean the laser lens with a lens cleaning disc. Next if that doesent work clean it manually
