The fault was explained earlier, please check your MP3 format. play a normal cd to see if it detects, if so try with another recognised MP3. if not clean your head after opening the set. try again or it is possible that your optical is faulty or the RF signal processor IC is defective. Check this out. Good day

Hello, I face the same problem. I dont think its the problem with MP3/CD formats as the same CD's which were playing before are not playing now. I would strongly say there is some problem with Blaupunkt optica reader / RF signal. This is some kind of standard defect in Blaupunkt. I dont see these kind of problems in other brands like Sony, JVC, Pioneer etc.
Since we are proud owners, now what should we do ? Will there be any help from Blaupunkt ?
    Thanks,

I have a Blaupunkt Sevilla MP36 & there is a beep every 30 seconds. HOW DO I FIX THIS? it's driving me crazy!

Has this radio just been fitted into this car as it looks as though it is a VIN coded radio .
This means it has to be electonically linked to your vehicle ...and this is usually a job for the Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

If not then try entering the Security Code

Cd error

This is probably as a result of you inserting a disc that is not compatible with the player. In some cases, if you have been using it for a long time, the lens might have grown weak and so may need replacement.
If you try to clean the surface of the disc and you try some other discs but receive the same error, then you can confirm that the problem is coming from the player.
On the other hand, if after cleaning the surface of the disc and trying some other discs and they work, then the disc is most probably faulty.
If the case happens to be that the player is faulty, you have no other option than to see a repairer who would help you diagnose the player properly and replace or repair it if the need arises.

Problem for Blaupunkt Bermuda MP36 Car CD Player. I was getting the error CD error when I use to insert the mp3 cd in the CD player. I complained and was asked to reset it by disconnecting the battery...

It is possible that if your normal standard recording are working fine, then the format of the MP3 is not recognised. If so please try and rerecord on the acceptted format. If this MP3 was playing earlier to the fault then it is a possible failure of the processing section. If your cd is not reading but ejecting out then it is a fault in the optical for a possible weakening of the the laser. If you have warranty claim for this failure. however if it is readding but there is no output please check as above with a standard mp3 format. Howeverr if there is sttill no result I beileve you will have to get the main board replaced. If you are familiar with electronics you have to check within for the RF and signal to confirm for the suspected stage. however attempt only if familiar. Hope you follow this guidance. Good day

How to remove a blaupunkt santa cruz mp36

I'm afraid its a little bit late for corsamad11 but I've just spent hours finding that too much messing about taking a Blaupunkt Santa Crux MP36 in and out of your dashboard will almost render this great quality radio almost useless. Not being securely fixed in the dasboard.
The radio is held inside the mounting bracket by a metal strip each side which are supposed to spring closed to secure the unit. When the two keys are inserted each side of the radio they are supposed to push out these metal strips and at the same time hook onto each side of the radio behind two little lugs. This may work a few times but thats about all. The metal strips don't spring closed and the removing keys don't hook on the unit to pull it out.
Fiddle about with the keys inserted in each slot and at the same time try to push the unit further inside the dash. When this is achieved the mounting bracket lugs can be straightened out and the bracket can be removed with a narrow screwdriver as installed.
Just a very poor and flimsy design on a much loved radio.
