My SanDisk Cruzer Gator 4GB is not working. When

My SanDisk Cruzer Gator 4GB is not working. When I insert it in the USB port and try to open it, I receive a message that the disk is not formatted. When I check the properties, it says 0 bytes available, 0 bytes used. I have lots of data on this disk. How can I recover it?
I have run the Error Check and nothing happens. The Device Manager says it is working properly and I have run the Troubleshoot. Still no luck.

The filesystem appears to be corrupted. Try right-clicking the drive's icon, going to Properties, Tools and Check Disk. If that doesn't help the partition that holds the data may be unreadable, and if that happens try asking a data recovery service if the data is important.

Device not seen by computer

Try inserting the device into another computers usb port, if the symptoms persist there is most likely an internal issue with the cruzer. If you need the data on the device contact a professional recovery service like http://happydatarecovery.com

San Disk Micro Cruzer 4GB

Hi there,

Try plugging it in to a different USB port on your computer. Make sure the connecter on the Cruzer is clean and there's no dust inside.

Also, try plugging it in on a different computer.

If none of these work,
I'm afraid it's a hardware problem and there's nothing that can be done about that.

Hope I helped!
