Question about HP Officejet 6310 All-In-One InkJet Printer
I am trying to print photos and the photo paper keeps getting jammed or won't feed correctly. I set the printer to photo paper setting and set the print dialog box on the computer to photo paper. It keeps getting jammed.
It's the top rollers, the paper is too slick to get through them. I'm using HP photo paper, in an HP printer. It needs to do a 180, but gets jammed right where it prints, so the paper never makes it to the ink. It's an engineering problem by HP. I suggest putting a rough surface on the top edge of the photo paper, something removable but rough enough for the printer to pull the photo paper through.

HP all-in-one printers have had problems printing photos with glossy paper. The glossiness makes the paper stick together and that will trigger a jamb. If gloss paper is all you have, try separating the paper before you load it into the machine. If you continue to have jambs, try a non-gloss paper to see if that alleviates the issue.

Based on your question, my first thought is that you changed the type of photo paper you used starting "this week" (when you first posted your question). If you did, the photo paper size/thickness may not be compatible with your printer.
Otherwise, there may be a problem with the paper sensor. Click on the following link and review the troubleshooting steps, particularly Step 2, to see if that helps:

Post back your results. If you are still having the problem, post any additional information you think might help solve the problem. Thanks and good luck.
