Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S500 Digital Camera
Hi, I gave this digital camera to my son a year ago and all was fine until a few days after warranty expired, it no longer would focus. The LCD screen only shows a darker, grainy picture and then won't focus to take the shot.
Is this a sensor problem?....Sony said it would cost more than the camera to have them look at it and repair!
My too dosent work, when i turn it on it only says:
for 1 second then it goes!

The fault may be with the apature in the lens, or the CCD sensor sensitivity. Go through all the menus first just in case something was changed.
Maybe the camera is in the manual mode, and the apature is turned all the way down???
If all else fails, the camera may be exensive to service.
