Question about Casio Exilim EX-Z50 Digital Camera

Wont turn on

Hi, I recently dropped my Casio Exilim EX-Z50 while it was on. When i dropped it, it automatically shut off, but the lense was still out. Right now, the camera will not turn on and the lense would not go back into place. When i press the "on" button, it makes the sound and the green light flashes, but then it shuts off again. I was wondering what i should do to fix it. Thanks.

My EX-Z50 is suffering from the exact same problem but it was not dropped right before this. I merely took a photo and when I tried to turn the camera off the lens stayed extended and the screen went black. Now it wont turn on and it also makes a very short quick sound and the green indicator light flashes once. I have to remove the SD card and put it in another camera to retrieve photos also.

I have the same problem. The camera hasn't been dropped but will not turn on. I've charged it, taken the battery out, and still no change.

Sounds like I have the same issue as well. I press the on button, the top green LED next to the viewfinder flashes once, the camera beeps twice then nothing.

I'm looking for a driver for vista, can you please help? (camera casio Exilim EX-Z50 Digital)

You don't need a driver.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Windows Photo Gallery or Picasa.

Not real sure on that one. Sorry. You can check the casio.com website and see if they are the same size. If they are they might be interchangeable.
