My Canon PIXMA MP530 did not come with an install disc and I want to use the scanner and it does not work. According to instructions under scanning images the softwarefor MP drivers and MP Navigator apparently are not installed. How can I get the installation disc to correct this problem? Thanks

Scanner won't scan. printer works fine

This could be a driver issue, but it could have other causes as well. (The printer and scanner use different drivers.) Best to check that your installation is complete, according to the instructions in your user guide. Also be aware that there are firmware upgrades for your printer, which you may need to install, available here.
If the Canon software is fully installed, and updated, and you continue to have difficulty, please go here and type 'scanner won't work' into the search bar and work through each of the possible solutions offered as response.

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

How do I add multiple pages to one scanned doucment?

Open your Adobe Acrobat (e.g., 9.0 Pro), load your pages into the document feeder (fewer than 30 at a time), then ask Adobe Acrobat to create PDF from scanner (File/Create PDF/From Scanner). Canon MP530 as the scanner and click OK. Works like a charm!

Scanning from Canon MP530 to Mac Powerbook

If you;ve installed the MP Navigator software from the CD, then you should be able to press the scan button on the printer with your Mac connected and the MP navigator will open automatically on your Mac ready to scan. You can also try going into Preview (the Mac app) and from the file menu select Import... and it should open a scan window.  Hope this helps!
