Pen Lag? My tablet has just recently had issues with sensitivity. no matter how close the pen is to the tablet the pointer doesn't recognize it until I'm actually touching it. which is problematic if I just want to move across the screen. then on the rare occasion that it does the pointer's movements are choppy and not precise at all. like its skipping or something. Help would be greatly appreciated!

I had a serious lag issue with Genius Easypen F610E. You draw a square but the signal is laggy and it is unable to draw it properly. Leaves even a trace behind (see pic below with black squares). Searched the internet for solutions, it seems some others have the same issue.
Changing battery didnt help. Changing computer and OS didnt help. But its an issue of electrostatics (pen, tablet, your body) as I noticed. I needed to wrap a foil around the pen's upper part, and connect it to battery's minus terminal. That fixed the lag problem. Its not pretty, but it works.(see green squares in the picture).
It's seems to be a design flaw.

I have a wacom Intuos2. I have some proble with the pression of my pen. Suppose i draw something using the pen, it continues to draw even if the pen is not touching the tablette anymore. It happens with...

In the wacom control panel, there is a sensitivity setting. move the slider to less sensitive. this does not affect the pen pressure, only how sensitive the tablet is to recognizing the pens presence.

Photoshop cs4 pen pressure not working. Windows xp. Have the latest photoshop update and Wacom tablet update. running Cintiq. Have tried reinstalling tablet and photoshop...did not fix issue. ...

In photoshop, press F5 to bring up your brush control window. Under shape dynamics and other dynamics and any other brush attributes you wish to control with your pen, make sure that control is set to "pen pressure" in the drop down menu. Hope that fixes it for ya.

Tablet Pen Won't Release After Clicking

I have just begun to have the same issue. For me it is happening even with using the pen to open Photoshop and though it's in Photoshop where the problem begins, it isn't fixed by quitting the software. It remains click-activated for the entire system and only a restart will fix it which is very impractical. Previously the issue was that it wouldn't release the option(alt) key. Relaunching Finder would fix this issue but not the click problem. Very frustrating!

Try putting a new battery in it. Mine was having the same sort of problems, and they were pretty much entirely fixed by a new battery.

Well when I have the pen even close to the tablet it makes a line where I dont need it. even putting pressure, lifting the pen a centimeter off the table to move it away it still makes a line.

Sounds like one of 2 problems. Either a driver issue (assuming a Windows environment) you may need to reinstall. Or else it is the application. Not all applications respond to the tablet the same way. On Ubuntu programs like Gimp and Pencil recognize the pressure sensitivity if the driver is configured correctly. MS Paint is not so good.

Pressure sensitivity problem in Photoshop CS3

OK, I found the problem -- if you open photoshop with the mouse (whether it be through the quicklaunch bar, start menu, or desktop icon), the pressure sensitivity doesn't work. If you open it with the stylus or function button (I have a function button mapped for photoshop now because of this, since there's no icon on my tablet's display with how I have my display set up) the pressure sensitivity works fine.

A quick KIND of fix, but until Adobe actually does something about it, this is probably the easiest way to do it.

Wacom tablet won't recognize pen

Hmm. I've had a similar thing happen with my tablet. Have you tried removing the tablet pen from the list of tools in tablet preferences and then adding it to the list again before checking the 'About' section of the tablet pen set-up and clicking the 'diagnose' button there in? As that worked for me when my tablet pen was not working. The pen was recognized by the tablet after that.
