parts can be had... Call your local dealer and tell him what you need. It should be pretty standard but they would know what to give you. Or call brother direct.
Please check that the needle is in the right way, flat shank to the back and all the way up into the housing. This would cause the stitches to not form.
Failing that, if it is not picking up the bottom thread, then the timing could be out and it would need to visit the shop.
you can go to www.sewingpartsonline.com and order one through them, they are pretty much the same for there LS models. Or you can call Brother at 1-877-276-8437 and order directly from them
I think that you can get any brand, Singer etc because they are snap on. You have a low shank so that you probably can buy one from JoAnn Fabrics. I was looking at your manual at www.brother-usa.com and I didn't see a straight presser foot listed. If, you aren't close to a JoAnn's give Brother a call at 1-877-276-8437 and order one. Good luck.
raise presser foot to highest level pulling wheel toward you(counterclockwise) release the foot assembly with the lever at the back of the foot holder assembly place you quilting foot in line with the slot on the shank lower the presser foot lever on the shank if it is where it should be the bar will snap in and you should hear an audiable click or snap let me know if this helps
thanks amy
you probably purchased the incorrect walking foot for your specific machine. check and make sure if you have a high shank or a low shank....the way to determine if you have a low-shank is to measure the screw from the plate and look at the distance if it is 5/8 then you have a low, any higher about 1in. then you have a high shank, so you would purchase a foot depending on your shank.
