Brother DCP-135C Print Quality Settings Not Working Correctly
I have just purchased a brand new DCP-135C but everytime I try to print on a quality setting lower than normal, such as fast or fast normal, instead of printing at a lesser quality, it makes the document much smaller. The lower the setting, the smaller the print.
I have tried changing many settings to resolved this no luck. I have tried fitting and shrinking to the pages as I thought that was the problem but no luck.
Please can anyone help me here asap. I wanted to get a few things printed tonight for university but I don't want to waste precious ink on documents that need not be high quality.

try these options below.... turn on/off, unplug, plug in, should reset configs.
take all the paper out, put half as much back in. check the rollers to make sure no paper or particles are stuck.
go to applications folder for your computer, dbl click printer icon for make of printer. check settings. print 'test document and clean cartridge heads', this should ensure proper printing formats. another thing might be that you have to leave the printer on at all times, have you've tried this? i have known printers to be this way, not so sure with your brand though.
lastly, go to web site of printer model and check site for trouble shooting if this does not work above. hope this helps and good luck
Hello! I need help! My Brother printer - DCP-135C I've changed all inks include the colours. I able to print the Red, blue and yellow. But I can't print the Black. I've tried pressed the cleaning option for many times.. Please advise some help.
The Yellow ink cartridge yield is up to 300 pages @ 600 x 150 dpi when printing at 5% coverage on A4 sized paper. The Magenta ink cartridge yield is up to 300 pages @ 600 x 150 dpi when printing at 5% coverage on A4 sized paper. The Cyan ink cartridge yield is up to 300 pages @ 600 x 150 dpi when printing at 5% coverage on A4 sized paper. The Black ink cartridge yield is up to 350 pages @ 600 x 150 dpi when printing at 5% coverage on A4 sized paper.
so it appears that what you are experiencing is not normal and you may have a leaking printer.
There is one thing you can check though, everytime you print, make sure that you are not printing at the highest quality option selectable as this almost certainly will fire out more ink than regular printing... choose a middle quality option or even draft option if you will be printing regular text.
