Gud pm?ihave problem my phone sony ericksson p1i, my p1i does not turning on instead, black out and when everytime turning on it was just vibrating for sec and shutting down. please i nid advise for this matter. and i was hoping for ure kind and considerable answer. sincerely. my phone # 09083057300

software complaint...! go to any authorized service center and ask them to re-flash the software... thats it...! All the data in the phone memory will be erased, you phone will come back to its life....

Put the phone in Vibrate and ring mode so that it can ring. If you have already done so, then do you hear other sounds such as play mp3 and stuff? If you can't then it can be an issue with the speaker. If you can hear other sounds except the ring, then this is most likely to be a firmware issue. I remember downloading the P1i firmware from the Sony website for my friend's phone. You should download the Sony Ericsson Tools(SETools) for this purpose. It can be obtained from the link below.

 it's  better formatting the internal disk instead of the master reset. The way to do that is entering the Service Menu (Jog Dial Up/ Press * / Jog Dial Down / Jog Dial Down / Press * /Jog Dial Down/ Press *) and choose "Format Internal Disk".

REMEMBER THAT ALL YOUR INSTALLED APPZ AND SETTINGS WILL BE LOST (the phone turns in factory defaults settings)

On the hand set owner may have reduced the colume

ya my frd its common prb in all W91o i phones...its quite a difficult prb to solve...bcoz this actually it s bcoz of manufacturing defect in software...so nw days they production of this phones...v very unlucky people...but stilll that doesnt happens often rgt...rest all features in w910 i is awesome...screen clarity s very gud...earphones output very gud....am i rgt???

take out your battery, sim and memory stick.. then turn it off for 5 minutes, then turn in on without inserting the memory stick. after that try sending sms again, if it delivered,then try it with memory stick. if u can send sms,then its ok..but if cant then your memory sticks got a problem.my suggestion is to format the memory stick..

Solution Description:

1. Log on to: http://www.sonyericsson.com/cws/support/softwaredownloads/p1i?cc=hk&lc=en
2. Download and install Update Service on your computer to keep the software in your phone up-to-date and ensure optimum performance from your phone.
3. When the download is complete, an Update Service shortcut will be created on your desktop.
4. While still connected to the Internet, click the ‘Update Service’ shortcut icon on your desktop
5. Sony Ericsson window will pop up and downloading will begin. Allow the downloading to run complete to 100%
6. Another Sony Ericsson window showing different countries’ languages will pop up, select your preferred language.
7. Sony Ericsson ‘Welcome to Update Service’ window will pop up, showing ‘Exit’ on the left-hand side and ‘Start’ on the right-hand side.
8. Click the ‘Start’ icon and select ‘Agree’ on the ‘Term of Use’ page that pops up
9. Select your phone type and click on ‘Continue’
10. Highlight your specific phone type and select ‘Continue’
11. Follow the instructions as shown below:

- Make sure your phone is fully charged
- Connect the USB cable to a USB port on your computer
- Turn off your phone
- Remove and reinsert the battery
- Press and hold the ‘C’ button down while plugging the USB cable to the computer
- Continue to hold the ‘C’ button down until the instruction number ‘7’ on the Update Service comes up (i.e. Instructing you to ‘Release the ‘C’ button)

1. Allow the update to run to the end
2. When the system informs you that the latest update has already been installed on your system, click on ‘Continue Anyway’
3. Click ‘Yes’ to all subsequent questions
4. Allow the update to fully run to the end
5. When update is complete, disconnect the USB from the computer and phone
6. Remove and reinsert the phone battery
7. Power on your Sony Ericsson P1i phone
8. Congratulation!!!

NB: since the phone is not powering on, you may not be able to know whether the battery is fully charged. Hence, you will need to use a Sony Ericsson Deskstand. Connect the Battery Charger to its slot on the Deskstand and the USB cable to its slot simultaneously. This enables the battery to charge while the update is also running.
