same problem steam will not come out of steamer

  • red dance Jun 15, 2008

My scunci steamer will not eject steam either.I have replaced the little red rubber o-ring.I have pushed a fine gauge wire into the nozzle.I have filled it with white vinegar and turned it up side down to soak for 2 days.I have filled it with water and swirled it vigarously, and repeated this step 5 or 6 times. It still does not work. The thing is it was working last year when I put it up.

You can hear it boiling up inside but when you press the trigger nothing happens.Any help would be greatly appreciated .

    Thanks

Same thing....it sounds like it's "steaming" in there, but it only sputters a bit when I push the "STEAM" button :-(

I was hoping to find an answer to the problem. Seems we all have the same problem but, no answer. I slowly opened the top and steam came out. Press the trigger nothing happens.

can't get steam to come out - but i did misplace the #7 nozzle at the end of the wand - does that need to be in to have the steam come out?
I put the brush on and again nothing happened?

Same issue with my model. Heated up but would not produce... I called it SED (Scunci Erectile Disfunction) My doctor prescribed him some lube, and it worked! Now days Im happy to say we share a heathy steamy relationship!

Say goodbye to SED forever with the help from lube! All you have to do is open up the unit, locate the circular brass colored button, apply a squirt of lube (wd-40), create a decent amount of pressure and play with the little button until you notice smooth in-out motions. Put the unit back together and BAM you two will be back to a hot and steamy relationship, just like you had when you first met! ;)

I had the same problem and discovered that the plunger was not depressing due to a long period of use . I resolved it by taking the plastic casing off the top removed the plastic nozel from the valve housing and got a pair of chanel locks opened them wide enfough to go from the front of the valve housing to the back where the brass plunger sticks out and applied pressure to the plunger untill it finaly depressed as it would normaly. The plastic trigger just doesemt apply the kind of pressure needed when the plunger gets stuck like that. I think that might help you all sound like you have the same problem ie steamer gets hot but no steam comes out. KP

Oreck steam cleaner, it doesn't give out steam

Use the tool that came with it to clean the nozzle where steam comes out. End nozzle also comes off so you can clean the larger hole with the other scrublike side of the tool.
Also, listen for steam assembly working, a low rumble like sound. If you do not hear it, it is broken and needs to be replaced.

Simac evt 100 steam cleaner

Try taking the steam head apart and cleaning. If difficult to remove, fill a basin with white vinegar & a small amount of water and let it soak to remove the built up deposits in the system. Remember to only use distilled water when steaming to avoid build up.

We have a Magimix M 200 Purchased at John Lewis Registration No: 278739 approx Dec 2008. We have not got the purchase receipt. The nozzle for frothing up the milk is not working at all so we are unable to...

There might be a blockage in the steam tube or the frothing nozzle itself. Make sure the nozzle is clean and try inserting a pipe cleaner gently into the steam tube to clear any blockage that may be preventing steam from passing through.

How to remove hood from hoover steam cleaner deluxe I can not find how to remove hood its on top of nose of steam cleaner

Hi Lisa,

Do you need to clean the nozzle or do you need to do repairs inside? You only remove the hood to do repairs. For cleaning the nozzle, refer to your owner's manual as to what to do after you finish cleaning. There is a description for how to clean the nozzle.

If you need to do repair, please reply back. Thanks,

Will not dispense water how do I trouble shoot bissell proheat steam carpet cleaner

Listen to see if you can hear pump run when pressing button, if the pump does run, than either you have a clogged nozzle or screen in water fill compartment.
