Everything i print is so small .is it my printer or my commputor

Look in the printer driver to see if the page fill is at 100 % The paper size may be wrong too.

Start with reinstalling the software for the printer, do you have a cd, can you tell me what operateing system are you useing and I will get you the newest version of the software.

This is usually a sign that the ducts in and out of the laptop are plugged with dust balls ,take a can of compressed air and blow in either direction to clear the obstructions. Sometimes you have to make a small hook to pull the dust balls through the vent grates

Open Control panel >> Printers and Faxes Folder

Right click on Printer icon and click Printer Preferences ( or Printing Preferences )

On Advanced/Layout tab - Select Regular printing ( uncheck option which says Fit to Page )

Try to print.

Try placing you cursor on the text that you would like to print, hold the control key down then tap the PLUS key on the numerical pad a few times.
This should make your fonts larger so that they may print normally.

Is it also small in the print preview?

-Check if all the printer settings are correct, then try to print again.
-If not resolved, delete the printer icon under Printers and Faxes from the control panel
-unplug the USB at the back of printer
-insert the printer CD to install the driver, then click add a device
-once installation is complete, try printing again.
-if the problem is the same, you can go back to printers and faxes under control panel
-select add a printer, then look for the HP deskjet 990c driver. It works for almost all HP printers.

In Print Settings make sure the original size is 8 1/2 by 11 and print out size is 11 x 17

Please try to reinstall the printer driver
And also try to use the printer properties in the printer menu and try to select the fit to page option

Hope this helps; Try Printer Self Test feature by placing a paper on tray or bypass. Start from off position press Enter button or equivalent and hold down for 3 seconds and press the power button on. Do not release yet the Enter button until it initializes for self test printing. We'll see if it prints correctly or the colors will be printed completely. Proceed to uninstall everything or reinstalling if found print test is correct.
