If anyone is looking for the Kenmore Coffee Water Filter model 69768 - Sears / Kmart re-branded the filter under the Cuisinart name making them near impossible to find under the Kenmore name. HERE is the link to order them under the Cuisinart name at SEARS (its the EXACT same filter and they come 2 to a pack) http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605...

Cuisinart model DCC-690. Water filter for it please?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having trouble finding replacement water filters for your Cuisinart DCC-690 coffee maker.
After some research, it appears that the DCC-690 model does not have a specific water filter that is designed to fit it. However, Cuisinart does offer a universal water filter that can be used with any of their coffee makers.
The Cuisinart DCC-RWF replacement water filter is a universal filter that is compatible with all Cuisinart coffee makers that have a water filter. It is designed to remove impurities from tap water, such as chlorine, calcium, and other minerals, to improve the taste and quality of your coffee.
You should be able to find this filter on Cuisinart's website, or at a retailer that sells Cuisinart coffee makers and accessories. It is important to note that the filter should be replaced every 60 days, or after brewing 60 pots of coffee, whichever comes first.
I hope this helps!

Will not brew

mcdevito75 here, Your coffee maker may need cleaning, if so, fill the resovoir with WHITE VINEGAR and cycle thru 3 times, have clean or new filter in the machine, on the 3rd cycle stop machine for 30 minutes then resume, cycle thru2=-=3 more times if needed, after the vinegar cycle change filter or clean and cycle thru plain water 2--3 times or more to rinse out the vinegar.

mcdevito75 here, Make sure everything is set to make coffee, New or clean filter, filter basket set in machine. Your coffee maker might need cleaning also.------------ Fill resovoir with white vinegar, let it run thru the machine 3 times, half way thru ther 3rd time stop machine and let stand for 30 minutes. resume brewing, then fill resovoir with water and let run thru machine 2--3 times to get rid of vinegar. If this don"t help you may need new coffee maker.

Not all of the brewed coffee water is going through to the cup. I have done a quick check to see if I could find a fault with the pipes or seals. Can't seem to find where the brewed coffee water is coming...

Hi
More than likly you have a striped thumbscrew. That is the item that holds the filter screen in on the brew unit. If you use the key to tighten the thumb screw you will pull the nut out of the thumb screw and they is nothing to hold the filter screen in and it leaks past the thumbscrew into the drege drawer. If you remove the brew unit and there is water in the pocket by the thumbscrew its striped and needs to be replaced. Be sure to remove the extra nut on the filter screen before installing the new thumbscrew.
