You will need to attach an external screen from your pc to check that your laptop is working, if it is then your laptop display may just be faulty and the screen connector loose, you will need to take the front frame off your screen to check.
If the display is broken, check ebay. expect to pay about £80

Hi, it does not matter which monitor the Notebook has, the ratings may change depending on the Hardware performance of the Notebook, Please make sure you have installed all the latest Drivers for Windows 7 OS. Usually the notebook manufacturer will release Drivers for Windows 7 OS in there Website. If you are using Windows XP Drivers for Windows 7 then the performance may vary.

Please check your Hardware Specification by downloading Speccy program from the below link:

http://www.piriform.com/speccy

Please follow the below steps to enable Hardware Acceleration.

1. Choose Start > Control Panel.
2. Double click Personalization and select Display Settings.
3. Click Advanced Settings.
4. Click Change Settings on the Troubleshooting tab.
5. Move the Hardware Acceleration slider to Full.
6. Click Apply and then click OK to accept the new setting and close the dialog box.
7. Click OK to close the Display Properties dialog box.
8. Restart Windows.

I turn on my computer. it starts to boot. then blank screen. nothing. it dosnt load into windows nothing. even my mouase dosnt work but it's on

Turn off computer. Now turn it on, and as it is starting hold down the F8 key. you will hear a beep and ket it go. A set of options will come up and choose Safe Mode with Networking. if it manages to get to windows you are fine.
If not, hit fn key + a key with a smzll monitor (usually one of the F keys at the top, like F5 or F6). It might have been put on display mode and woukd onky show if connected to a projector, tv, or external monitor.

I have a p5gcmx problem, displays black after installing the window7 os

ASUS P5GC-MX - O/S Compatibility - Link
Windows Vista
Windows XP
Windows 2000

Options you can try.
1. Can you boot the OS Win 7 in "Safe-Mode"?
If you can boot your system into safe-mode, then your monitor cannot handle a "higher graphic resolution" which will result a black screen. You can try using a better montor with resolution "1280x720".

Hope it helps, & Good luck.

How to change os

Hi

To change OS - Operating system, the easiest way if by upgrading your operating system from Windows XP to Vista or Windows 7 or others.

Here how it works. Open your computer and let it run your windows operating system until it finished loading the windows display. After, put the OS installer on your CDROM to upgrade it either to Vista or Windows 7 and it will run the upgrade process. Follow the procedure and it is easy to follow. It will reboot for 3 times and finish itself. And its done.

I hope it helps you.

ATTENTION OUT OF RANGE 74.7 kHz v:59.8 KHz

This means either your Refresh Rate or the resolution has been set (usually in the display settings of the operating system) beyond the monitors display capability. On a windows OS, go to START == CONTROL PANEL == DISPLAY == SETTINGS (for XP) or R click on the desktop and select SCREEN RESOLUTION for Windows 7 & VIsta. Use the slider to reduce the screen resolution to one that both looks good and fits within your monitors capability.

Hope This Helps FixYa! Please leave us some feedback if you found this information helpful.
