Mcdevito75 here, If your Wittnauer is a Quartz movement, look for a small piece of plastic, just under the crown (winder) remove this piece of plastic carefully and push the crown back down to start your watch, if it's an automatic movement, try to wind with the stem if you feel a resistance then winding will initially start yor watch by winding with 20--30 winds, if you feel no resistance when winding the simply rock your watch back and forth in your hand, you will detect something moveing inside the watch, this is the counter balance winding the watch, rock the watch back and forth for approx. 30 seconds to start an initial wind.

New batteries control lights up no movement. Help

Presuming the watch and the battery are both in working order there is only two things it could be:

1. (Unlikely) the battery is incorrectly fitted i.e. wrong way up.
2. (Very likely) the movement on the watch will have two points which have to be shorted out (Joined) momentarily in order for the movement to start, they should be marked on the movement, further advice not posible due to so many movement variations.

Is it a quartz movment? More then likely its a battery issue. Even when the watch is new a battery could have been in the movement and watch for a while before purchase. Need more information to dianose properly

Watch stops working after a few seconds

Give it up. I have tried to repair some watches that simply refused to revive. The movement may be no good.

Put new battery in pulsa chronograph 100m watch how do I get it working Plz help

You might need a jump start the watch, or cleaning. I usually try using a air dust blower ball to get all the particles that is invisible to the eye, you can do this on the movement and around the battery area. Aftwards try inserting the battery again then pull out the stem and move it clockwise at least 10 times passing the 12'o clock marker. If the watch is not brough back to life you can try one last thing before buying a new movement or taking it to the watch repair shop. If you take it to watch repair shop they might charge you a few bucks to jump start the movement. I hope this helps. Marcelo

I went to put a new battery in a LACOSTE model or part number 2000308 ladies leather strap watch only to find that there was no movement at all ???? what movement and spacer if any do I need

A watch with no movement in it is probably a salesman's sample or display model. These are often distributed to stores as part of a larger display. In addition to missing a movement, you should also check to see whether the hands have been glued in place. This is also often done because, without a movement, the hands would just flop around instead of staying in an attractive position.
Watch movements come in a variety of standard sizes and shapes. However, a standard ladies watch movement (made by many manufacturers) would probably fit your watch case. This size movement is today used in much larger watches, too; the movement is simply anchored by an appropriate spacer.
A jeweler advertising watch repair should be able to offer you a price on this job. If the hands have been glued to the dial, it may not be worth "upgrading" the watch because of the additional expense and potential damage to the watch face from getting the hands freed up.
If you're ambitious and want to try it yourself, movements can be found online at a variety of watch supply houses like Otto Frei. You can also buy a cheap new or used watch at a flea market or thrift store and use the movement from that. You might be able to re-purpose the spacer in that watch, too, by trimming it to fit your watch case. The major stumbling point here is that watch stems--i.e., the stem on which the setting crown is located--are usually custom-cut in length to match a specific case, and the one you select may be too long or too short for your case. A watch repair place should be able to replace the stem and crown for you, if you need that service. Trimming an overly-long stem is a very simple and cheap procedure; replacing the stem requires a new stem, which will add to the cost of the repair.

I want to get a new movement for it , where can i find it?

if you want to buy a new movement and install it yourself you can go online to a watch parts store such as esslinger and purchase it. You will need to look at the back of the movement and reader the numbers off it to get the proper watch model. Or you can call diesel watch and get the movement from them.

Or you can go into a watch repair shop and have it replaced professionally.

My husband purchased a new PS watch, that doesn't need batteries, but is suppose to stay going by movement. The problem is it stops all of the time if he is not actively moving.

Kinetic dive watches utilize motion, or kinetic energy from watch or hand movement. If there is inadequate movement to keep the watch going.

1. Involve some much needed physical movement (Physical Training) that will both help the wearer and the watch with the watch being the judge of if he is moving enough every day?

2. Get a battery powered watch.

Number one is a better solution.

Hope this tip helps.

Need a new watch movement

I am not sure which Vincente model you have but I can tell you that the movements for those are Swiss made. That may not seem like much but there's not a lot of info on them.
Chances are it's an ETA movement and if not there's an ETA movement that should fit it. ETA is one of the top Swiss movement makers around. You will find their movements in more watch over $1500 then I care to mention. You should be able to get a movement for around $150 plus installation. You will need to go to a watch repair shop so find a good one.
Hope this helps.

Citizen eco drive watch movement E870 date window out of synch

If the movement is broken, you can play around yourself; but you will need very fine tools. May be complex. Send an email to Citizen, they are very supportive. Look for detail tech manuals for all types here:
