How do i fix an F5 error code on a Fisher & Paykel Dishdraw DS605. I have turned the power off but the error keeps returning?

I am assuming you have the DD605 double drawer dishwasher. Is the problem F5 on both drawers or just one?

F5 code involves the drawer lid seal and will need a bit of effort to check and fix.

Take the drawer out and inspect the inside of the top panel for a black rubber strip. If it is broken or not responding to up down movement then it needs to be replaced. In addition the actuator motors on each side that drive the seal could be faulty.

If you are not comfortable with repairing slightly complex apliances then you may have to call the technician.

F2 error code on a Fisher & Paykel dishdrawer DS605. We have replaced the rotor motor with a new one, but the error code will not go away. Drainage hose was also split and has been replaced.

Coulg be a faulty heater. The unit will continue to wash for 2 hours before it gives an F4 fault message. Check the resistance of the heater element. There may be a solder link that is designed to fail if the temperature ever gets too high. Otherwise it could be a faulty controller board. Post back if you can narrow the diagnosis.

Hi.

F5 is Lid Fault.

Try clearing the error code by disconnecting power from circuit breaker for five minutes. If that does not help, then there is a problem with lid switch. The part must be tested and replaced.

Disconnet Dishwasher, Remove lower dishdraw, soak up excess water with a towel, use a hairdryer to dry water especially under grey plastic cover. Then check seal on either dishdraw and make sure they are not kinked or leaking as this has most likely caused the problem. Power up problem should be resolved. Don't leave dishdraw unattended till you validate problem definately fixed.
