That is a network problem between the laptop and the PC. Look for your network settings and adjust them.
Use a tool like pctools to identify your network problems. Vista and Xp sometimes have a problem

I have one computer which operating system is windows vista home premium. Another PC with operating system Windows 7 Home premium and have set up to share one HP K80 Printer. Now problem I believe is the...

Instal only one printer driver on the PC it is physically connected to. Preferably the Windows 7 PC (Latest OS). Unshare the printer, remove drivers from other PC's., then reboot al PC,s and re-share the printer. The PC's sharing should allow the Windows 7 PC to use it's driver, although they may request a disc for basic information about the printer.

Xp profesional 32 is not able to ping pc vista 64 bits, therefore xp is not able to see the files in the vista pc). the vista pc is able to ping and see share files of the xp pc. what could it be ?

First I would verify that all of your systems are connected to the router & they all have internet access, (whether they can ping or not). The second step, disable any zone alarm or norton 360, (they're useless anyways).

After making sure both systems are on the same router, (subnet, ip, etc..) AND on the same workgroup

From the vista computer, Right click on the folder you wish to share, and choose "Share..."
Sharing Tab
(Checkbox) Share this Folder
Permissions - Highlight Everyone, and choose full control
OK
OK

Security Tab
Advanced
Permissions
Edit
Add
In the TextBox type: Everyone
OK
OK
OK
Close/OK

You can now share files from Vista to XP

Can't connect Xp laptop to 64Bit Vista PC to be able to print across wireless network

yes easy to fix, just share your print driver give it a share name like canonmp780 on the pc it is connected to
then get on your laptop asuming its on your wireless network and in the start bar run this command. \\ your computer name one printer is connected to \ canonmp780.
so if your computer name is windows and your printer name is canonmp780 the run command will be: \\windows\canonmp780 hope this helps and really easiest way to connect to it.

2WIRE wireless router/DSL from AT&T

unless this is a wireless enabled or lan RJ45 connectable printer you cannot, the pc that the printer is connected to must be on at the time of the printing.

Wireless printers have their own arial and allocated ip address, Lan RJ45 connective printers can be connected to the router.
