Luxor 0143001 - no power?

If your Luxor 0143001 TV was working fine and suddenly made a popping sound and stopped working, it is likely that there was a power surge or some other electrical issue that caused damage to the TV's internal components.
Here are a few things you can try to troubleshoot the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure the power outlet that the TV was plugged into is working. You can test this by plugging in another device and seeing if it powers on.
  2. Check the power cable: Make sure the power cable is securely plugged into the TV and the power outlet. If the cable is loose, try unplugging it and plugging it back in to ensure a secure connection.
  3. Check the fuse: If the TV is still not turning on, there may be a blown fuse inside the TV. You will need to open the TV and check the fuse. If you are not comfortable doing this yourself, it is best to take the TV to a qualified technician.
  4. Check for other damage: If the TV made a popping sound, there may be other damage to the internal components. You may need to take the TV to a qualified technician for further diagnosis and repair.
If none of these steps resolve the issue, it is possible that the TV's internal components have been damaged beyond repair

TV has no power

Someone would have to check for short starting in Horizontal output circuit at the output transistor--voltage checks will also narrow down where likely problem is at.

If power light does not come on usually trouble is at fuse or very near it.

Wharfedale LCD2710HDAF no power to tv, checked cable and changed fuse a few times, new power lead? or is this a common problem?

Hi.

The power cord must be checked using a multimeter. The test is done reading impedance (ohms) between plug's prongs and contacts to TV power board.

If the power cord is OK and there is no power, then the problem is the power board inside the TV.

Regards.

Ginko.

My tv was working fine lastnight. I turned it off using the side panel and then this morning when I push the power button it acts like it is trying to turn on but then powers off. It is fairly new.

Check the power lead if it is fully plugged in, and if it still does the same thing it could be internal
problem. If the set is still under guarantee then let them to worry about it.

Will not turn back on

Take off back cover. The problem power board is to the right of the board where the power plug feeds into the TV. There is a large white fuse right bend the power plug. With a meter it read ok; about 8 inches deeper into the TV on that board was the resister next to two fuses. My 4 amp 125 volt fuse did not read on my meter. After replacing, it worked fine.
