Hello Ke7mmm,
First, try a different USB port, and make sure all connections between computer and printer are secure.
Next, try to download the latest software/driver from your manufacturer's website. Here is a LINK.
Once you have reinstalled the latest software/driver, restart the system and see..
If that doesnt work, you may have to manually add a printer through the printers and faxes >add a printer section in Control Printer. Hope this helps..
