toshiba tecra 8000 does not have built in wireless, you need to install an external wireless adapter (usb or pcmcia), and use the software provided with the wireless adapter to configure it
You don't have to change or replace your motherboard ..
just go to toshiba website........select your model by its serial No. and download the all available Drivers like Sound, Video, bios, management etc.....
install all these Drivers on your Laptop......... your motherboard will be up-to-date.
hmmm..that's really strange. that tab opens by simply prying it off one side..take a nice thin bladed screwdriver(blade type) and shim it under the edges. should come out on one side or the other. got backup for your Tecra?
Thank you.
