If the card you purchased is 4 gb or higher it might be SDHC and not regular SD. Check to see if the card you have is 4 gb or higher and check to see if your camera supports hc "high opacity " sd cards. If your camera does you might want to make sure the card bay is free of any dust or other obstructions If nothing works with the new card alone it may be a defective card.

Look in your manual for the maximum size for an sd card supported.

I Keep getting message on camera screen that the card is not formatted. How do i format it?

The Format command is in the Playback menu.
The DMC-FX7 uses MMC and SD cards, 2GB or smaller. Make sure you're not using a higher-capacity SDHC card.

I took the memory card with all my photos to a shop to have them printed. The machine said the card was empty. I returned home and put the card back in, and a blank screen appeared. My sister has the same...

You may have a defective SD card. Have you tried to put your sisters SD card into your camera? Most cameras have internal storage. Do the cameras work with the SD card removed? Most **** stores sell storage cards. a new card may solve your problem.

I purchased a sdhc 4gb memory card for my Panasonic DMC-LZ2 Camara and when I put it in I get a message that says memory card error. Do I need to format it? and how do I do that

The DMC-LZ2 uses SD and MMC cards, not SDHC cards. While SDHC cards will fit into the slot, they are electronically incompatible. You will need to use SD cards 2GB and smaller.

Hi: I have a lumix/Panasonic DMC-FS3. I keep getting a message "Memory Card Error. Please check the card." Nothing has happened to the card. What could cause that?

Has the memory card ever worked in this camera? If yes, try downloading all the pictures to your computer then format the memory card using the camera setip menu. If this is a new camera, Make sure the camera can use the SD HC type memory cards. Some older cameras cannot read the SDHC but are fine with the SD cards.

Memory card error

Did you format the card before using it on your camera? Try using a memory card reader instead of the printer's SD card slot to transfer the video. Also check if the memory card is locked (check the position of the yellow slider at the right side of the card). If this does not work, then you will have to format the card. Unfortunately this will erase all the data in your card.

Bought 8gb memory card - error message

Hi, I suspect that the SD card is to big for that camera as that camera is a lower end camera. You should try the SD card in a camera that is known to be able to handle such a huge card.
