Gauge reads full when tank is empty

You have a bad ground, you will have to remove the fuel tank and check the connectons on top of the tank, probably corroded. You can clean the terminals or change them.

Got a stihl hs75 starts and runs up to 3/4 revs but cuts out on full revs what could be the problem?

Hi, basically its starving for fuel in the upper revs. Check the fuel hose between the tank and carby, they are prone to perishing. If ok it may just need the high speed screw backing out a bit. Regards Phil.

2002 Chevy Suburban: Fuel gauge reads empty, tank is half full

Youre gauge is controlled by a plunger in the fuel tank which is attached to the sensor and the fuel gauge. it sounds like when the plunger goes down half way its either getting stuck down lower then it should. Needs replacing. Any mechanic can do this install for you.

Hi
We have the same truck that does the same thing.
The fuel sender in tank is faulty. It is in your gas tank. Common chevrolet problem.
