Question about Nova Development Photo Explosion Deluxe Version 3

2 Answers

I have Photo Explosion Delux 3 and have just purchased the new version 4. I hate 4 and want to put 3 back on my computor. I uninstalled 4 but cannot get the 3 version back on. I get error message R6034 ProgramCWindowSysem32MsiExec.exe. Why will it let me put the new version on but not version 3?

The new version may put some files or changes in the registry which is not removed by the uninstallation. When you install version 3 the installer may detect there is a new version there so it stopped. Do you have a system restoration point created recently. You can check system restore of Windows because under some settings the system will create a restoration point for you automatically whenever you install a program. You can roll back your computer to the status before you install Photo Explosion 4 there. I mean the system restore in the Windows System Tools if I didn't make myself clear.
Also, you did not upgrade your operating system after the installation of version 4 right? You can check the Control Panel and Program and see whether there are some fundamental stuff installed with version 4 such as .net framework or C++ runtime or redistribution package or something alike. To uninstall them may fix the issue also. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have any more questions.

Because you didn't deleted registry from your system for v4. Go to registry editor and path through until you find registry directory. After deleting only that registry, restart windows and install v3.

Cannot load photo explosion delux year 2002 on window 10

It may be impossible for a 2002 program to run this many years later and on later versions of Windows.

If you try running the setup.exe program or whatever the install.com program is called using the compatibility mode, there might be chance. There are also ways to run a miniature older operating system on Windows 10, but that may be too difficult for you to understand or perform.

Wish to purchase a version 3 for my daughter, were can I find it? thank you

The home site for the product is:
http://www.novadevelopment.com/
although you will see that only versions 4 and 4 deluxe is advertised (look under "Print Creativity" or "Digital Photography"), which, of course, you could go for. Prices: version 4 - $ 29.95; version 4 deluxe - $ 49.95.
However, If you are really intent on getting version 3, you could try out this site's customer or technical support (http://www.novadevelopment.com/support/customer_service/index.html).
I did a quick Google search. If you're not able to get version 3 from novadevelopment's site you may be able to get it from sites that (still) advertise it, like:
http://www.amazon.com/Nova-Development-US-PRW-Explosion/dp/B000J54PAC
http://www.overstock.com/Electronics/Nova-Photo-Explosion-v.3.0-Deluxe-Complete-Product/2639966/product.html
Of course, it could be that the sites / site information is old and no longer relevant.

Be sure to check the system requirements for version 4 and 4 deluxe, should you opt for those versions (given on-screen on novadevelopment's site). Furthermore, it appears that versions 3 (no longer in development) doesn't work with Windows 7 (reference: http://www.softcity.com), and that some users are of the opinion that version 3 is better than version 4 (reference: http://72.32.159.251/contribution/1cDMxMzN/view/please-help-photo-explosion-deluxe-version-3-is-much-better-than-version-4).

I wish you all the best.

My program photo explosion deluxe version 3 will not opened when downloaded to my new computer that operates windows 7. what should I do to get this program workining, I do not like version 4 of photo...

Hi!
What I understand is that your photo explosion deluxe is a windows xp software. Since it is not working readily out of the box in windows 7 then what you could do is install windows xp mode for windows 7. Windows xp mode allows xp software to be installed and windows 7. What you need to do is just download windows xp mode and install it. After which you could then install that software on there. Just make sure to uninstall your current installation of photo explosion deluxe before you do this.
Here is the link to the download for windows xp mode: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/download.aspx
And Here is the link to some of their videos on how to use xp mode so that you could understand further how to set it up: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/support/default.aspx
