Hello, maybe the volume control for mic (in Windows) is turned down or set to 'mute' I only know where to find it in XP, which is Start > Programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Volume Control
and you want to view the 'advanced' controls.
Hope you can relate this to your Windows 7 system.

Check the Logitech website to see if they support Windows 7 for that model

Visit the Logitech website and browse the photo gallery for your model and click on the photo to navigate to the support page.
Note - Older models on page 2 - look for the link at the bottom right of page 1 and click on it "Still can't find your product?"

You will need to re-install the software for the quickcam. The most up-to-date software for your quickcam is available at this link...

Go to the logitech website - identify your webcam and download the software - do not connect the webcam until prompted

This will then take you to the next window where you need to select your

Try re installing the drivers as that is what will enable the video effects or better still try a similair thing within windows movie maker 2 and see if all goes to plan.
