How do I unclog a bissell vaccum? I'm not just talking about unclogging the hose, I need to unclog the complete vacuum cleaner. HELP!!!

There are a few at home remedies you can try. White vinegar can be used to disinfect and unclog the cleaner. I would suggest running it through a few times. However if that doesn't work, there are supplies you can buy to unclog the carpet cleaner.

Try suctioning clean water from a sink or bucket with the attachment removed from the hose. If the attachment is clogged, soak in hot tap water for 30 minutes and clean the end with an old toothbrush.

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

Detach the hose completely.
Plug wrong end of hose into in port of vacuum.
Turn on. This should remove the clog.
If not, try using a vacuum with an exhaust blower to blow out the clog. Most canisters have these. An air pressure hose may work as well.

Your right the hose is clogged.. Use a portable vacuum to blow the dirt inside the hose.

I have a Bissell Dirtlifter Powerbrush that will not spray soap. I assume the soap lines are clogged, but how in the heck to you "unclog" them? I've searched high and low on the Internet looking for that answer.......
