Either the software is corrupted or is not compatible with your Operating System. There might be problems with your hardware device also (Kodak Device). First of all when the error occurs we have to find why this error occurred. We have to get more details about it. To do so: We have to examine the Error Logs.

  1. Please click on the Start Menu. Type Run in the search box - in Vista - or click on Run - in Windows XP.
  2. Type this and hit enter key. Eventvwr.msc
  3. Go to the Application Category. Check for errors (Red oval with X on it). If there are errors - see the details - for the Application please post it here. You can read the messages and understand which Application that the error is related with. Check the Date and Time values to verify that it is the exact error related to this software.
  4. Then go to the System category and check for errors related to the System if you have connected the Device to the PC. If exists please let us know.
Solution: e easiest solution is to uninstall the software and re install. Download the recent version from here. Note that Apple Quick time is required by the application. Download it from here. Installation Instructions and Operating System Compatibility - Now compatible with windows 7 as well.
Please rate the answer as well if it helps you to solve the problem.

Keep getting a code 1312x17x4252799284x and want install program.

I?m not sure if you?re fault code is showing on the computer, Easy Share Software, or the camera itself. Therefor I will list 2 possible solutions: If the fault message is on the LCD on the camera: There is no firmware available online for this camera model. Therefor you do need to set up a "repair" with KODAK directly. An Out of Warranty repair for this model for this fault is about 88 pounds + shipping. KODAK also offers a Trade up option where you will have the opportunity to trade up to a newer model 25-30% cheaper than the market price. In order to arrange your repair/Trade up: Contact KODAK: http://www.kodak.com/eknec/PageQuerier.jhtml?pq-path=14563&pq-locale=en_US&_requestid=3490 If you're experiencing this fault code on the computer: Please do a Clean Install on the Easy Share Software: Please follow the instructions: Uninstall Easy Share software: Select Start > Settings > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. For Windows XP operating systems, select Start > Control Panel > Add / Remove Programs. Select Kodak Easy Share software. Select Remove (or select Change, and then select Remove). Run the Clear utility: Visit the CLEAR Utility for Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/clear Click the Download button, and then follow the on-screen prompts. After restarting your computer, visit the Kodak Easy Share software Web page at www.kodak.com/go/easysharesw and install the latest version of Easy Share software.

Are you using alkaline batteries? The Easy Share hates alkaline batteries. Try NiCad or Lithium.
