I have an inncom thermostat in my room, and it keeps doing a thing where it will turn on, but only the fan, for about 3-15 minutes, then it will shut off. And I can only get the thing to turn on when it is set 1-2 degrees lower than the room's temperature. Is there a way I can reset it? or just get it to blow out cold air?

If you set the t stat in VIP mode you can operate the fan manually but you shouldnt have to do this. it sounds like the t stat is losing communicatio with the HVAC reciever board.

Until now this unit has never had the compressor run without the fan. Is the compressor running without the fan a problem? If so, what can I do to correct it?

Possibly a tstat issue. Run system until satisfied, once satisfied indoor fan shuts down compressor still runs remove tstat face plate and see if compressor shuts down. Another issue could be a sticking contactor for compressor. With a meter you could check at the contactor to see if you lose your 24volts for cooling but contactor remains pulled in.

The unit is on Heat, Fan Auto it's 36 degrees outside, Thermostate set on 73 Actual temp inside 70. Unit runs continuously. How can I get more heat. I tried Emergency heat and that doesn't help.

Have you cleaned the air return filters ? Wash them, don't vacuum or brush them. It damages the filter screen. Sometimes a thermostat will be out by a few degrees. If the filters are clean, try turning the temp down a bit to 65 degrees and see if the air con shuts down. ( If your room temp is showing 70, it should switch off the machine) If it doesn't turn off, keep reducing the temp by 5 degrees at a time and wait a few minutes each movement to see if and when it shuts down. If the machine keeps running, I would suggest your thermostat is shot and you will need a new one.

Central unit

Seems like defective wiring or thermostat. The thermostat wires needs be checked. Another thing if the ac unit has economizer feature.
With the thermostat removed, if possible wires still connected to thermostat base, jump R-G, indoor fan should turn on: jump R-Y, compressor and outdoor fan should start (may feature a few minutes time delay): jump R-W, heater should start and indoor fan after a time delay.
What you want to see is R-G and R-Y working and if this is no problem, the thermostat may be due for replacement

Have installed a new Honeywell thermostat. The fan does not turn off even when the room has reached the desired temperature. I originally replaced th ethermostat because the old one the fan ran forever and...

Most T-Stats have a On / Auto on a forced air system. On means the fan will run all the time even if it is not calling for heat. Auto only runs when calling for heat. Does the fan turn off in the auto mode at all? To test it...BE SURE THE FAN IS IN THE AUTO MODE ON THE T-STAT... Turn the thermostat all the way down and keep it there for appox 15 mins. If it is wired properly and the fan limit is set properly the fan should turn off. If it doesn't it is not the thermostat were the problem lies.

Most forced air units have a fan / high limit switch. There is a setting on the switch for the fan to turn on and a setting for the fan to turn off or it has a setting and a differental switch for it to turn off/on. Example - the fan comes on when the temp in the heat exchanger reaches 110 degrees F and will shut down at 95 degrees F after the thermostat is satified...this would hav a differental of 15 degrees F. It may be set to low and the fan continues to run long after all of the heat has been removed from the heat exchanger. This in turn will cause cool air to be coming out of the registers.

Freezer is cold, but cold air is not circulating in refrigerator

Check freezer fan is working. If ice formed over freezer fan by working. It's a common problem due to irregular defrosting. Keep freezer setting temp at 5 degree. And check defrost timer, thermostat, heater are working properly.
Turn timer with small tip screw driver to shut off fridge. If not shut off, replace timer. Turn counter clockwise defrost thermostat. If fridge not shuts off replace defrost thermostat.Check heater by join the 2 wires in the defrost thermostat. And after 1 minute, unplug power and keep your arm on heater. If it's warm heater is o.k. Otherwise, replace heater.
Once heater starts work at regular interval controlled by thermostat and timer, defrost will be good and effective cooling will also be in fridge compartment.

Possible Contactor Issue

Sounds like a bad fan switch in your unit. That unit has a fan board in it that is time delay on and off. Turn the fan to the on position and let it run all the time. If it keeps temp and does not shut off it is the fan realy board. The board also controls the compressor. Check that first and then the tsat. Russ
